This is my 19th year in education, and I've had the privilege of teaching at St. Patrick for the last eleven. I grew up in Woodridge, Illinois and have lived in Michigan for 24 years, but Chicagoland is still my home. I've been happily married to an MSU Spartan for 28 years. We have three wonderful grown children, one daughter, two sons, and a son in-law, all of whom attended Michigan State University. Bowser the Boston Terrier, Winston the Boxer, and a grand dog Skippy make up my family dog pack.

I n my free time I love reading, gardening, and walking. "Not all who wander are lost," from J.R.R. Tolkien is one of my favorite quotes, probably because I love walking alone in the woods. My favorite places to visit are Chicagoland where most of my family resides and Colonial Williamsburg where my daughter and her husband live. I also enjoy visiting historical sites. I am a football and baseball fan and enjoy watching the Bears and the Spartans whenever I can.

I teach because I love to learn and read, and I love children. I enjoy their sense of humor and awe at the world around them. I enjoy sharing my love of reading and learning with them. There is great pleasure in watching them grow and learn throughout the year.
